Just as I am about to run inside
to get away from the storm,
I remember my inner powers.
I know that I am doing what
is right for me and
it doesn’t matter what
anyone else thinks.
that disappointment is not failure and
I will always have another
opportunity to practice.
And as I pause to reconnect
to my calm center,
I remember other people’s anger
is about them and not me.
And then, like magic,
the storm recedes
and I can get back to what really matters —
like making mud pies.
